Chicken with ginger sauce recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | chicken breast fillet |
150 g | flour |
150 g | corn meal |
1 | egg |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
300 ml | milk |
sunflower oil | |
For the sauce: | |
ginger, 4-5 cm | |
1 | onion |
2 clove(s) | garlic |
2 tbsp | sunflower oil |
light soy sauce | |
sesame oil | |
1 tsp | corn meal or corn starch |
sugar |
Instructions
Peel and chop the ginger, garlic and onion. Sauté in hot oil until pale yellow. Stir the corn starch or flour together with a little cold water and add this to the ginger mixture. Cook and stir in by and by approximately 150ml of water until you get a thick and transparent sauce. Season to taste with sugar, sesame oil and soy sauce.Rinse the chicken fillets, pat dry and cut into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, combine the flour and the corn meal, the egg and the salt. Stir in the milk. Turn the chicken breast cubes in the batter, then fry it in a skillet in hot oil until golden brown.
Serve the crispy chicken cubes with the sauce. Goes well with a fresh and fruity salad.
