Ingredients
750 g | chicken thigs, skinless, boneless |
½ tsp | five spice powder |
½ tsp | salt |
1 tbsp | olive oil |
For the sauce: | |
2 | green onions, chopped |
120 ml | chicken broth |
120 ml | plum jam |
2 tbsp | balsamic vinegar |
Serve with: | |
2 | green onions, chopped, for garnish |
300 g | green beans |
400 g | rice, cooked |
Instructions
Coat thighs in five-spice powder and salt. Set aside 2 chopped green onions. Use remainingonions for garnish.
Heat oil ina skillet on medium until hot. Add thighs and cook for 10 minutes, turning once. Transfer thighs to plate; keep warm.
Cook onions in drippings until lightly browned. Stir in broth, jam, and vinegar; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook until sauce is syrupy. Return thighs to skillet and turn to coat with sauce.
Meanwhile, cook beans and rice and serve with chicken. Sprinkle with reserved onions.
