Chicken pasta and spinach casserole recipe details
Ingredients
350 g | small pasta |
1 clove(s) | garlic, chopped |
salt and pepper | |
400 g | spinach, chopped |
4 | chicken breast fillets |
1 tbsp | oil |
1 tsp | dried oregano |
1 can(s) | peeled tomatoes |
150 g | single cream |
100 g | freshly grated cheese |
Instructions
Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente.In a saucepan heat the oil. Fry the chicken fillets until golden all around. Remove from the pan. Season with salt and pepper. Add the garlic into the pan and sauté until golden. Add the dripping wet spinach, cover and steam for 3-4 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Cut the chicken breasts into slices. Mix the tomatoes with the cream with a hand blender. Season to taste with salt, pepper and oregano.
Drain the pasta and combine with the sauce in a casserole dish. Place the chicken slices on top and cover with the spinach. Sprinkle with the cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven at 160°C for 30 minutes.
