Chicken in ginger ale recipe details
Ingredients
chicken legs | |
chicken thighs | |
240 ml | vegetable oil |
1 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
500 ml | ginger ale |
120 g | Cheddar cheese, grated |
For seasoning: | |
100 g | flour |
1 tsp | oregano, dried |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Heat oven to 170°C.Combine flour, oregano and salt and pepper in a sealable bag and shake. Put in chicken legs and thighs and shake again. Remove chicken from bag.
Heat oil in a frying pan and sauté chicken until browned on all sides. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels.
Put chicken in a large casserole dish and sprinkle with garlic. Pour ginger ale around the chicken pieces. Cover with dish with aluminum foil.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Remove cover and sprinkle with cheese. Bake for further 10 minutes longer until cheese melts.
