Chicken in a spicy sauce recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | chicken breast fillet, cut into bite-sized pieces |
1 | lemon, juice and zest |
1 clove(s) | garlic, chopped |
3 tbsp | oil |
salt and freshly ground white pepper, to taste | |
1 | piece of ginger root, freshly grated |
300 ml | chicken stock |
100 ml | single cream |
Instructions
In a bowl, place the chicken and add ginger, garlic and lemon juice. Allow to marinate for 20 minutes.In a pan, heat the oil. Stir-fry the meat over high heat until slightly golden. Season with salt and pepper. Take out of the pan and set aside.
Pour the stock into the pan and bring to a boil. Cook over medium heat until reduced to half. Stir in a pinch of lemon zest and the cream and bring to the boil again. Cook until slightly thickened.
Return the meat and cook until hot again. Adjust seasoning and serve with rice.
