In October we like to go to Oak Creek Canyon to see the beautiful fall leaves and pick up apples at the roadside stands. They are the best! For a new twist on brownies, try these. The are super moist and taste especially good with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter with sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Combine flour with baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; beat into butter mixture. Mix just until flour is moistened. Fold in apples and nuts. Spread into greased 9-inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Enjoy!
