Cherry tea bread recipe details
Ingredients
200 g | flour |
85 g | sugar |
5 tsp | baking soda |
1 ½ tsp | baking powder |
½ tsp | salt |
140 g | dried cherries, chopped |
60 g | butter, melted |
180 ml | milk |
1 medium | egg, slightly beaten |
½ tsp | almond extract |
Instructions
Combine all dry ingredients and mix well. Fold in cherries. Combine butter, milk, egg and almond extract and stir into the cherry-flour mixture.Preheat oven to 180°C.
Spoon into a greased loaf pan and bake for about one hour or until a knife inserted in center of bread comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove from pan to cool on a wire rack.
