Cherry Tea Bread recipe

|5 tsp||baking soda|
|1 ½ tsp||baking powder|
|140 g||dried cherries, chopped|
|60 g||butter, melted|
|1 medium||egg, slightly beaten|
|½ tsp||almond extract|
Combine all dry ingredients and mix well. Fold in cherries. Combine butter, milk, egg and almond extract and stir into the cherry-flour mixture.
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Spoon into a greased loaf pan and bake for about one hour or until a knife inserted in center of bread comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove from pan to cool on a wire rack.
