Cherry cake delight recipe details

Ingredients
Serves: 12- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 egg yolks, beaten
- 3 3/4 cups milk, divided
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 pint whipping cream, whipped
- 2 (21 ounce) cans cherry pie filling
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) store bought pound cake
Preparation method
Prep: 30 mins | Cook: 30 mins | Extra time: 30 mins1. Mix the sugar, flour, and cornstarch together in a bowl.
2. Add the egg yolks and 3/4 cup of the milk to the flour mixture. Pour into a saucepan and add the remaining milk. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Add the vanilla and butter, and stir until mixed. Cool.
3. Fold in the whipped cream.
4. Cut the pound cake into 1/4 inch slices and cover the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan. Smooth 1/2 of the pudding over the pound cake. Smooth 1 can cherry pie filling over pudding. Repeat with the rest of the ingredients.
5. Chill in fridge until you are ready to serve.
