Cheddar cheese sauce recipe details
Ingredients
50 g | butter |
3 tbsp | cake flour |
500 ml | milk |
1 tsp | English mustard, dry |
80 g | Cheddar cheese, grated |
2 tbsp | sherry, dry |
salt and pepper to taste |
Instructions
Melt the butter in a saucepan. Remove from the heat and blend in the flour.Slowly add the milk, stirring until the mixture is smooth, then add salt and pepper and the mustard.
Cook while stirring for a couple of minutes until the sauce is thickened.
Remove from the heat add the cheese, stirring until it melts. Add the sherry.
