Old town b&b recipe details
- Ingredients
- 4 cups peeled and chopped apples (use tart apples, preferably Granny Smith)
- Scant 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
A delicious breakfast cake, or serve for dessert with whipped cream.
Add sugar to apples; mix well and set aside. In a large bowl, beat eggs and add oil and vanilla. Beat well. Sift flour with cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Add dry ingredients alternately with the apples to the egg mixture. Stir in chopped nuts. Pour batter into a prepared 10-inch tube or bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
