Cheddar cheese and chive eggs recipe, recipe Rating: 4.7

Ingredients:
12 eggs
3/4 cup half & half
1 Tablespoon sour cream
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Salt and pepper
Fresh chives, chopped
1/2 Tablespoon unsalted butter
Instructions:

Whisk together eggs, half & half, and sour cream. Add salt, pepper, and chives to taste. Melt butter in medium cast-iron skillet. Pour egg mixture into skillet. Cook, lifting gently as egg sets so soft egg runs under. Remove from heat while egg is still moist. Sprinkle shredded cheese on egg and place under broiler. Remove from broiler when cheese has melted and eggs are fluffy.

Let cool slightly and slice into 6 wedges. To serve, garnish with a fresh basil leaf and tomato wedge. Accompaniments: biscotti and cantaloupe (melon balls marinated in apple juice and fresh rosemary sprigs).
