Ingredients
8 ounces grated sharp cheddar cheese
8 slices slightly stale, hearty white bread
3 cups milk
6 eggs
1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper
1 teaspoon dry mustard
Instructions:

Trim crusts from bread, crumble, then combine with grated cheese and spread in greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. In a bowl, beat eggs and milk. Add the salt, pepper, and mustard, then pour over bread and cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

The next morning bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes or until top is golden brown. Serve immediately.
