Cauliflower with cheesesauce recipe details
Ingredients
1 ½ l | water |
1 tsp | salt |
450 g | cauliflower, in florets |
10 g | butter |
6 | cherry tomatoes |
For the sauce: | |
1 stalks | leek |
25 g | butter |
1 clove(s) | garlic, chopped |
1 tbsp | flour |
300 ml | milk |
salt and pepper | |
½ tsp | paprika powder |
1 pinch(es) | nutmeg |
150 g | fresh goat cheese |
1 bunch(es) | parsley, chopped |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200°C.Cook the cauliflower in salted water for 6 minutes, then drain.
Grease a casserole dish with butter and divide the florets on the bottom the dish. Peel and quarter the tomatoes and divide on top of the florets.
For the sauce cut the leek into small rings. In a skillet, heat the butter, and sauté the garlic and the leek. Dust with the flour and cook stirring for a minute. Bit by bit add the milk, stirring constantly. Season to taste with salt, pepper, paprika powder and nutmeg. Stir in 50 g of the cheese and bring to a short boil again.
Evenly spoon the sauce over the vegetables, divide the remaining cheese in small dabs on top and bake for 20 minutes at 200°C. Serve sprinkled with parsley.
