Cardamom Tea Bread recipe

Ingredients
200 g | flour, all-purpose |
1 tsp | baking soda |
1 tsp | cardamom, ground |
1 tsp | ginger, ground |
2 tbsp | cornstarch |
½ tsp | cinnamon |
½ tsp | salt |
4 tbsp | unsalted butter |
200 g | sugar |
3 large | eggs |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
80 ml | buttermilk |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C.Grease a 22cm x 12cm loaf pan.
Sift the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon and salt into a bowl.
In a separate mixing bowl beat the butter until fluffy using an electric mixer. Gradually beat in the sugar and add the eggs, on at a time. Beat well after every addition. Add the vanilla and reduce the speed. Beat in the sifted flour mixture and finally the buttermilk.
Scrape the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 55 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes before turning it out onto a rack and leaving it to cool completely.
