Caramelised white asparagus with strawberries and vanilla ice cream recipe details
Ingredients
300 g | white asparagus |
200 g | strawberries, cut into slices and sprinkled with sugar |
20 g | butter |
2 tbsp | sugar |
2 tbsp | orange juice |
4 portion | vanilla ice cream |
Instructions
Peel asparagus and cut into small pieces about 1cm long. Cook in boiling water together with salt, sugar and butter for about 3 minutes or until al dente. Drain and allow to cool a little.In a small casserole heat butter add sugar and let caramelise, deglaze with orange juice add asparagus and let caramelise again. Transfer onto plates together with strawberries and ice cream.
