Chestnut fritters recipe details
Ingredients
130 ml | milk |
200 g | sour cream |
150 g | flour |
1 | egg |
1 tsp | cinnamon |
10 g | brown sugar |
35 ml | oil |
15 | chestnuts |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C.Score a cross into the skin of each chestnut and place on a baking tray. Roast in the oven for about 10 minutes. Let chill for a little while, then peel the chestnuts.
Heat the oil in a pan over high heat until very hot.
In a bowl, whisk the milk with sour cream, sugar, cinnamon and the beaten egg until well combined. Add flour a little at a time and keep stirring.
Dip the chestnuts into the batter until well coated and fry them in the pan until golden.
Remove the fritters from the pan and allow to drain on kitchen paper.
