Ingredients
425 g | puff pastry, ready-made |
1 pack(s) | Camembert cheese, 150g |
4 tbsp | mixed roasted peppers, from a jar |
1 sprig(s) | fresh thyme, leaves only |
1 | egg yolk |
Instructions
Preheat oven to Gas Mark 6, 200°C, 400°F. Heat a baking sheet while the oven is warming.Unroll 1 sheet of pastry and cut in half, to provide two wide rectangles. Cut the Camembert in half and then split each half horizontally, to give 4 semi-circles.
Place one piece of cheese in the centre of each piece of pastry and top with a tablespoonful of peppers. Place a second piece of cheese on top, season with black pepper and sprinkle some thyme over the top.
Beat an egg yolk with a little water and use to brush the pastry edges. Fold up the edges of the pastry to form a parcel. Use a fork pressed into the pastry to seal the edges. Brush the pastry tap with more egg wash.
Transfer the parcels to the hot baking sheet and cook for 20-25 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
Serve with a green salad.
