Ingredients
1 large | cabbage |
180 ml | milk |
30 g | butter |
salt and pepper to taste |
Instructions
Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Chop the cabbage discarding the stalk and coarse bits of rib. Wash and put into the boiling water for 2 minutes to remove strong flavours. Drain and return the cabbage to the pan with the milk and a bit of butter.Season, cover the pan and simmer gently for 20 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the remaining butter. Pile the cabbage in a heated dish and serve.
