Ingredients
Serves: 6- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup Burgundy wine
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup Burgundy wine
- 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 1 hour 10 mins1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Combine ground beef, 1 cup of Burgundy, onion, 1 can of mushrooms, egg, and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese in a large bowl. Pat into a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
3. Bake in preheated oven for one hour. Drain fat; top with remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Return to oven for 10 minutes, then remove and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
4. Combine cream of mushroom soup, and the remaining 1 cup of Burgundy and 1 can of mushrooms in a saucepan. Heat just to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Slice the meatloaf and serve with the Burgundy sauce.
