Burgers with beer barbecue sauce recipe details
Ingredients
700 g | lean beef |
8 slice(s) | bacon |
250 ml | strong flavoured barbecue sauce |
60 ml | brown ale |
½ tsp | salt and pepper, to taste |
1 medium | red onion, sliced |
4 | hamburger buns |
lettuce | |
tomatoes, sliced |
Instructions
Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat. Drain on paper towels and set aside.Pour barbecue sauce into a small saucepan, add ale and season with salt and pepper. Boil one minute and remove from heat.
Shape beef into 4 patties. Spray grill or large skillet with nonstick spray. Heat over medium heat until hot.
Add onion slices and cook, turning often, until softened, about 4 minutes. Set aside. Remove and set aside.
Add burger patties to grill pan and cook to desired doneness.
To serve place patties on bun bottoms, top with onions, bacon and barbecue sauce. On top bun place lettuce and tomatoes. Serve open face on plate.
