Broccoli salad recipe details
Ingredients
300 g | bacon, sliced |
230 ml | mayonnaise |
10 ml | cider vinegar |
100 g | white sugar |
500 g | broccoli, in small florets, blanched for 2 minutes |
70 g | raisins |
200 g | cashew nuts, toasted and roughly chopped |
1 small | red onion, finely diced |
Instructions
Place the bacon in a large, deep pan and fry until golden brown and crispy. Drain on kitchen paper, allow to cool and crumble into pieces.Whisk the mayonnaise with the cider vinegar and the sugar in a salad bowl until the sugar has dissolved. Add the broccoli, the raisins, the cashew nuts and the onions.
Cover and refrigerate the salad for at least 2 hours. Then leave to stand at room temperature 15 to 20 minutes.
Fold in the crumbled bacon and serve immediately.
