Broccoli egg bake recipe details
- Ingredients:
- One 10-ounce package of frozen broccoli, cooked and drained
- 6 hard-cooked eggs
- 3 Tablespoons mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 1 Tablespoon minced onion
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- One 4-1/2 ounce can deviled ham
- 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tablespoons enriched flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 pound processed American cheese, diced (1 cup)
Arrange broccoli on a 10 x 6 x 1-1/2 inch baking dish. Cut eggs in half lengthwise; remove yolks and mix with mayonnaise, onion, mustard, Worcestershire, and half the ham. Salt and pepper to taste. Place small amount of deviled ham in egg whites; fill with yolk mixture and top with remaining ham. Arrange on broccoli. In a saucepan, melt butter and blend in flour. Gradually add milk; cook, stirring constantly, until thick. Add salt, then add cheese, stirring until melted. Cover eggs with sauce. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
