Just say no to another boring dinner. Yes, this starts boring, with noodles and ground pork. But then you add in garlic, and marinara sauce, and bell peppers and beef broth, and Worchestershire and sage and thyme and…with about 5 minutes of extra measuring and pouring you’ve created a dinner you’ll actually remember tomorrow. (And, probably, leftovers you can eat.)

Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1 1/2 cups uncooked fresh egg noodles
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 (15 ounce) jar marinara sauce
- 1 cup frozen mixed bell pepper strips, thawed and chopped
- 3/4 cup beef broth
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon rubbed sage
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 15 mins1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil over high heat. Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 5 minutes. Drain.
2. While water comes to a boil for step 1: combine pork, onion, and garlic in a skillet and set over medium heat. Cook until pork is thoroughly browned.
3. Stir in the marinara sauce, peppers, 1/2 cup broth, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, salt, sage, thyme, and pepper. When mixture comes to a boil, turn heat down to low and cook for about 5 minutes.
4. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with 1/4 cup broth. Pour into the boiling mixture in the skillet. Stir for about 2 minutes to thicken.
5. Toss with pasta, heat through, and serve with ricotta cheese on top.
