Breakfast souffle recipe details
- Ingredients
- 8 slices French bread
- 2 cups (1 pound) grated cheddar cheese
- 1-1/2 pounds link sausage, cut up and cooked
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2-1/4 cups milk
- 3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 can mushroom soup
This recipe allows you to do most of the work the evening before.
Place French bread in greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Spread cheese and sausage on top of the bread. Combine the eggs, milk, and mustard and pour on top of the bread, cheese, and sausage.
Refrigerate overnight. The next morning cover with the mushroom soup, slightly thinned with milk, and extra mushrooms if desired. Bake about 1-1/4 hours at 300 degrees .
Serves: 10 to 12.
