Breakfast pie recipe details
Ingredients
250 g | pork sausage, cooked and crumbled |
60 g | Swiss cheese, grated |
60 g | Cheddar cheese, grated |
3 medium | eggs, lightly beaten |
120 ml | milk |
1 | onion, chopped |
1 | red bell pepper. chopped |
1 | green bell pepper, chopped |
pastry shells, unbaked |
Instructions
Place unbaked pie shells into 2 separate pie pans.In a bowl mix together cooked sausage and cheeses. Pour sausage mixture into each pie shell.
In a separate mixing bowl combine eggs, milk, onion green and red peppers and whisk until eggs are blended together well. Pour egg mixture over the top of each pie.
Preheat oven to 180°C and bake for 50 minutes or until knife inserted in middle of pies comes out clean.
Let stand for a couple of minutes before cutting to allow pies to set.
