Bread pudding with prunes recipe details
Ingredients
350 ml | milk |
2 tbsp | instant cocoa |
4 tbsp | caster cugar |
3 | eggs, beaten |
6 slice(s) | white bread, cut into round ramekin-sized pieces |
150 g | prunes, pitted and roughly chopped |
icing sugar |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C.Pour the milk in a saucepan and add the instant cocoa. Cook over medium heat for 4 minutes, then remove from heat. Stir in the sugar and eggs and mix well, until combined. Soak the bread pieces in the mixture.
Place the soaked bread pieces into the bottom of two ramekins. Add some of the prunes and top with another piece of bread. Repeat until the prunes and bread pieces are used up. Pour over the remaining milk and cocoa mixture.
Bake the two puddings for 10-12 minutes.
Serve immediately, dusted with icing sugar.
