Bread pudding recipe details
- Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- Three 12-ounce cans evaporated milk
- 1-1/4 cups granulated white sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
- 1/2 to 1 cup raisins
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- One 1-pound loaf bread, cubed
In a large bowl beat eggs. Add milk, sugar, butter, raisins, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt; mix well. Add bread cubes; stir gently. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Serve warm or cold. Store in the refrigerator.
