- 4 small ripe bananas
- 2 Tablespoons instant coffee granules
- 2 Tablespoons hot water
- 3 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 1-1/8 cup vanilla fat-free yogurt
- 1 Tablespoon toasted slivered almonds
Peel and slice 1 banana and mash the remaining 3 with a fork. Dissolve the coffee in hot water and stir into the mashed bananas.
Spoon a little of the mashed banana mixture into four serving dishes and sprinkle with sugar. Top with a spoonful of yogurt, and repeat until all the ingredients are used up.
Swirl the last layer of yogurt for a marbled effect. Finish with a few banana slices and slivered almonds. Serve cold.
Variation:Add a dash of dark rum or brandy to the bananas for extra richness.
