A sweet, tangy sauce that is perfect for pulled pork or any other kind of barbecue. It is a thin sauce, best absorbed into the sandwich roll.
Ready in: 20 mins

Ingredients

Serves: 20
  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2/3 cup molasses
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 cup Bourbon

Preparation method

Prep: 5 mins | Cook: 15 mins

1. Add vinegar, black pepper, paprika, chili powder, crushed red pepper, and salt into a sauce pan. Bring to a rolling boil for about 2 minutes.
2. Stir in molasses, honey, and bourbon. Reduce sauce by at least half, up to desired thickness. Remove from heat and pour sauce into a bottle.
3. Chill in the refrigerator until cool.
