Bo's bar b que sauce recipe details
I developed this barbecue sauce last winter and used in competition this year. In 8 contests I took 6 firsts and 2 seconds, along with 3 grand championships!

Ingredients
Makes: 1 quart- 3 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons liquid smoke flavoring
- 2 (5.5 ounce) cans spicy vegetable juice
- 2 cups honey
- 2 cups ketchup
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 2 hours1. Puree the chipotle peppers and onions in a blender with the spices and just enough of the vegetable juice to make everything move. Puree until smooth, then pour into a pot with the remaining ingredients.
2. Simmer for 2 hours at low heat, stirring frequently until the sauce thickens and the flavors come together.
