Boneless roasted pork with a sticky honey and mustard glaze recipe details
Ingredients
1 ½ kg | pork roasting joint, boneless |
4 tbsp | clear honey |
4 tbsp | French mustard |
3 tbsp | cider vinegar |
2 tbsp | dark soy sauce |
1 piece(s) | fresh ginger, about a thumb sized piece, grated |
1 clove(s) | fresh garlic, crushed and finely chopped |
salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 150°C, gas mark 2. Place the pork joint in a roasting tin, make sure the meat is totally dry all over, this helps to make sure the meat browns. Slow roast uncovered for one and a half hours.Meanwhile, mix together the honey, French mustard, cider vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, salt and pepper in a small bowl.
When the Pork has been roasting for one and a half hours, spread the glaze mixture over the pork and return it to the oven for a further hour, turning up the oven temperature to 180°C, gas mark 4.
Remove from the oven and let the pork joint rest for 15 minutes before carving.
