This easy bratwurst recipe for the stovetop just asks you to sear uncooked bratwurst and then toss it into a boiling pot of cider and tasty veggies. A hot winter meal for a meat-eating man.

Ingredients

Serves: 4
  • 4 uncooked bratwurst links
  • 2 small apples, cored and sliced into bite-size pieces
  • 2 small sweet onions, sliced into bite-size pieces
  • 2 sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced into bite-size pieces
  • 1/2 cup apple cider

Preparation method

Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 25 mins

1. Arrange bratwursts in nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook until the links are browned. Pour off excess fat.
2. Stir in all remaining ingredients and let the cider come to a boil. Simmer covered on low heat for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sausages are no longer pink inside and the potato is tender.
