Blueapple pie recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1 small bag (8 to 12 ounce) frozen blueberries, wild Maine type (like the cook)
- 1 cup sliced apple (or 1/2 can apple pie mix)
- 1/3 cup sugar (or other sweeteners)
- 1 Tablespoon instant tapioca mix
- 1/4 teaspoon each nutmeg and cinnamon
- 2 frozen pie crust shells
World premiered at the Blue Hill Fair – 1997
Place apples into pie crust. Mix tapioca, sugar and spices with blueberries and pour over the apples. Fill to the brim but don’t over-fill.
Seal the top crust as tight as possible and poke a few fork-holes. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. Note: vary ingredients to suit taste and the size of your pie plate.
