Bloody mary soup recipe details
Ingredients
500 ml | vegetable stock |
800 g | plum tomatoes |
1 stalk(s) | celery, diced |
4 tsp | Worcestershire sauce |
1 tsp | hot pepper sauce |
¼ tsp | salt |
120 ml | vodka |
For the horseradish cream: | |
120 ml | sour cream |
1 tbsp | horseradish |
Instructions
Combine all ingredients, except the vodka, into a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 2 minutes.Pour the newly mixed soup into a blender and purée until smooth. Return the puréed soup to the saucepan and stir in the vodka. Simmer for about 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine the sour cream and horseradish to make the horseradish cream.
Serve the soup in soup bowls and top with a small dollop of the cream. Add the diced celery for garnish.
Soup can be made a day ahead and be served either warm or cold.
