Ingredients

500 ml vegetable stock
800 g plum tomatoes
1 stalk(s) celery, diced
4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp hot pepper sauce
¼ tsp salt
120 ml vodka
For the horseradish cream:
120 ml sour cream
1 tbsp horseradish

Instructions

Combine all ingredients, except the vodka, into a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 2 minutes.

Pour the newly mixed soup into a blender and purée until smooth. Return the puréed soup to the saucepan and stir in the vodka. Simmer for about 2 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine the sour cream and horseradish to make the horseradish cream.

Serve the soup in soup bowls and top with a small dollop of the cream. Add the diced celery for garnish.

Soup can be made a day ahead and be served either warm or cold.
