Ingredients

1  pound cake, homemade or ready-made
300 g blackberries
3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
120 ml whipping cream, whipped

Instructions

Slice the pound cake into 4 equal slices. With a heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out hearts from each slice of the cake.

In a bowl combine 150g the blackberries and the sugar. Mix and crush with the back of a fork. Add the lemon juice and the remaining blackberries whole to the bowl. Mix well.

Whip the cream.

Place 2 hearts on 2 plates and pour the Blackberry mixture over each cake. Cover the cake with the remaining hears and top with whipped cream.
