Blackberry cobbler recipe details
My father-in-law grows huge blackberries and always has tons. I tried a number of recipes and none really hit the spot. So I created this one and it worked so well that my fiance said it was the best she had ever had. Serve warm with heavy or whipped cream.

Ingredients
Serves: 10- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 6 cups blackberries
- 1/2 cup butter, melted (divided)
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 1 hour1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. Whisk together the 1/2 cup sugar and cornstarch and toss with blackberries. Pour blackberries into a lightly oiled 13x9x2 inch pan. Drizzle berries with 1/4 cup of butter.
3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and the 1 1/2 cups sugar. Add milk, vanilla and 1/4 cup butter and stir till combined but still slightly lumpy. Pour batter over berries
4. Bake in the preheated oven until crust is golden brown, 55 to 60 minutes.
