Ingredients
Serves: 8- 2 cups elbow pasta, cooked al dente
- 16 ounces Cheddar cheese, 1/2 cubed, 1/2 shredded
- 8 ounces Monterey jack cheese, cubed
- 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons Light sour cream
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 1/4 cup Italian Bread Crumbs
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 45 mins1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 2-quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
2. In a large bowl, toss together pasta with the cheese cubes (reserving shredded Cheddar) and pour into baking dish.
3. In a large bowl whisk together the flour, salt, black pepper, dry mustard, cinnamon, sour cream, egg, and half-and-half.
4. Pour over the pasta and cover with shredded Cheddar. Sprinkle Italian breadcrumbs over cheese and pour melted butter over the breadcrumbs.
5. Bake uncovered until browned, about 45 minutes.
