Beer braised pork recipe details
Ingredients
3 kg | boneless pork |
50 g | paprika |
2 tbsp | black pepper, ground |
½ tsp | sage, ground |
½ tsp | dried thyme |
1 tbsp | granulated garlic |
1 tbsp | salt |
700 ml | ale |
240 ml | maple syrup |
8 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
Instructions
For the spice rub combine paprika, black pepper, sage, thyme, granulated garlic and salt. Season pork with the rub, coating it evenly.Preheat oven to 180°C.
Place meat on a roasting rack in a roasting pan, and roast in the oven for 15 minutes.
Carefully transfer pork to a large ovenproof casserole.
In a separate bowl, combine beer and maple syrup and mix well. Pour over pork, cover casserole tightly with aluminum foil.
Cook in the oven at 130°C for about 2 hours until meat is tender.
