Beefy taco stuffed pitas recipe details
A big lunch for seriously hungry guys. Full of beef, beans and Mexican spices. Serve with ice-cold beer.

Ingredients
Serves: 6- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small red bell pepper, chopped
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 3/4 cup frozen corn
- 2/3 cup taco sauce
- 1 (2 1/4 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 (6-inch) pita breads, cut in half
- 6 tablespoons shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 10 mins1. Combine ground beef, bell pepper, and green onions in a large skillet. Set over medium heat on the stove or grill and cook, stirring, until beef is browned thoroughly and vegetables are soft. Pour off excess liquid.
2. Add beans, corn, taco sauce, olives, garlic salt, onion powder, oregano, paprika, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to incorporate, and keep over the flame until all ingredients are piping hot.
3. Stuff pita halves with the taco meat, add cheese, and serve.
