Ready in: 35 mins
Ingredients
Serves: 4- 3/4 pound ground beef
- Salt and pepper
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 sheet refrigerated pie crust
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 20 mins1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
2. First, cook the hamburger in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, breaking up into small pieces and seasoning with salt and pepper. Drain on a few paper towels, then set on a large plate.
3. In the fat left from ground beef, cook the onion until it’s soft and turning translucent, about 5 minutes. Then add the garlic and cook for another minute. Pour on top of the cooked hamburger and gently combine.
4. Cut a large stretch of parchment paper big enough to cover a baking sheet. Place it on the sheet, then unroll the pie crust on the parchment. Use a table knife to cut the dough into a 12-inch square, then cut the square into four equal squares.
5. On each square, measure out a fourth of the beef and onion filling. Wrap the pie dough up and over the filling to create a little bag, and pinch the dough to make it stay in place. If the dough breaks, use some of the leftover dough to cover the hole.
6. Bake for 20 minutes, until pie crust turns golden.
