Beef in beer sauce recipe details
Ingredients
600 g | lean stew beef, cubed |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
150 g | bacon, diced |
2 large | onions, chopped |
500 ml | brown ale |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 220°C.In a roasting tray, fry the beef together with the bacon and onions over high heat until browned all around and the liquid has evaporated. Season with salt and pepper. Pour in the beer, cover with a lid and transfer the tray into the oven. Bake for 1,5 hours, stirring occasionally. If necessary, add some water. Check seasoning and correct if necessary.
Serve with rice or boiled potatoes.
