Beef curry recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | lean beef, cut into strips |
250 ml | yoghurt |
200 ml | water |
1 tbsp | fresh ginger, minced |
1 large | onion, chopped |
1 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
1 tbsp | ground coriander |
½ tsp | ground cumin |
2 tsp | turmeric powder |
2 tbsp | tomato puree |
2 tbsp | oil |
salt and freshly ground black pepper |
Instructions
Stir ginger and garlic together with the water into the yoghurt. Add the meat, toss until well coated and let marinate overnight.Sauté the onion until golden brown. Add the cumin, turmeric, coriander and tomato paste and cook stirring until fragrant. Add the meat and cook stirring over low heat until the meat is done and tender. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve with rice.
