Beef and onion hotpot recipe details
Ingredients
500 g minced beef |
2 large potatoes, peeled, sliced |
1 large onion, chopped |
2 carrots, peeled, chopped |
1 tbsp tomato puree |
1 tsp Dijon mustard |
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce |
some butter |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Cook potato slices for about 5 minutes. When the potatoes are done, drain them and set them aside.
Chop onion and carrots and set aside. Brown the beef and set it aside. Sauté the onion and carrots in the same pan, then add the beef back into the pan. Stir and cook for another minute.
Put the meat mixture into an oven dish and top with the sliced potatoes, overlapping so that it is evenly covered. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and dot it evenly with butter. Bake for 1.5 hours.
