Ingredients

• 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
• 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
• 3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon honey
• 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
• 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon bourbon
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• Pinch salt
• 4 bananas, peeled and quartered
• 1 quart vanilla ice cream

Preparation method

Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 5 mins

1. Combine chocolate, 1/2 cup cream, and honey in a microwavable bowl; microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and repeat until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth. Cover with foil to keep warm.
2. Stir butter and brown sugar together in a skillet over medium heat. When butter melts, add 1/4 cup bourbon, vanilla, salt, and bananas. Cook until mixture coats bananas like a glaze, about 3 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, with an electric beater, beat 1 cup cream and 1 tablespoon bourbon together until cream stiffens and holds its shape.
4. To serve, place 2 pieces of banana, some sauce, 3 scoops of ice cream, chocolate sauce, and bourbon whipped cream in each of 8 bowls.
