Banana pudding recipe details
Ingredients
5 large | eggs, yolks only |
70 g | sugar |
40 g | cornstarch |
¼ tsp | salt |
500 ml | whole milk |
2 tsp | vanilla extract |
2 tbsp | butter |
Instructions
Combine egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, and salt together in a medium bowl and set aside.Bring the milk to a boil in a medium saucepan. Remove from the heat and whisk a little at a time into the egg mixture.
Pour the mixture back into saucepan, and whisk over low heat until it thickens, about 2-4 minutes.
Transfer the pudding to a clean bowl and add the vanilla and butter. Stir well until the butter is completely melted and incorporated.
Cover the bowl with clingfilm and refrigerate for 4 hours.
