- Ingredients
- One 9-inch pastry shell
- 1/2 of 10-ounce package of Stauffer’s frozen spinach souffle
- 3 strips cooked bacon
- 3 ounces grated swiss or cheddar cheese (or mixture of both)
- 5 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1-1/2 cups half & half cream
- dash salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg or to taste
- paprika (optional)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Arrange uncooked pastry shell in 10-inch quiche dish. Cut frozen spinach into 1-inch cubes and place on top of crust. Crumble bacon over spinach. Sprinkle cheese over bacon. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, then add half & half, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Pour this mixture over cheese in quiche dish. Sprinkle with paprika and bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until center is well set. Cool 5 minutes before cutting into serving pieces.
