Banana and nut cheesecake recipe details
Ingredients
175 g | digestive biscuits, crumbled |
40 g | ground hazelnuts, roasted |
4 tbsp | butter, melted |
For the filling: | |
1 kg | cream cheese |
320 g | sour cream |
5 | ripe bananas, mashed |
50 g | flour |
200 g | sugar |
4 | eggs |
100 g | ground hazelnuts, roasted |
4 tsp | cinnamon |
1 ½ tsp | nutmeg |
1 ½ tsp | vanilla essence |
For the decoration: | |
whipped cream | |
banana chips |
Instructions
Mix biscuit crumbs with nuts and butter. Firmly press the mixture onto the bottom of a spring form pan.In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, bananas, flour and sugar. Stir in the eggs one after the other, then stir in nuts, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla essence.
Spoon the mixture over the cake base and bake at 180°C for 45 – 55 minutes. Allow to cool for 2 hours. Then refrigerate at least for 6 hours.
Serve the cheesecake garnished with whipped cream and banana chips.
