Banana and cocoa marble cake recipe details
Ingredients
4 | ripe bananas, peeled and sliced |
½ | lemon, juice |
450 g | butter, soft |
2 pack(s) | vanilla sugar |
4 tsp | baking powder |
4 tsp | cocoa powder |
350 g | sugar |
6 medium | eggs |
450 g | flour |
icing sugar |
Instructions
Place the bananas with the lemon juice into a bowl and purée with a hand blender.Cream together the butter, vanilla sugar and sugar. Whisk in the eggs. Stir in the sieved flour and the baking powder. Add the banana purée and stir until well combined.
Preheat the oven to 175°C.
Spoon half of the dough onto a buttered baking tray. Stir the cocoa powder into the remaining dough. Divide the dark dough on the light dough and marble with a fork. Bake for 30 minutes. Allow to cool.
Serve dusted with icing sugar.
