Ingredients
Serves: 6- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 6 chicken legs or breasts
- 1 chopped white onion
- 2 cups balsamic vinegar
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons salt or to taste
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 lemon for juicing
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 40 mins1. Cover bottom of skillet with olive oil. Turn heat on to high; after 2 minutes of heating, add chicken.
2. Brown chicken and flip every few minutes, until chicken is no longer pink in the middle and has reached 165 degrees F internal temperature. This should take no longer then 15 minutes at sea level.
3. Add onions, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 10 minutes more.
4. Season chicken with pepper, salt, and garlic powder. Cook for 2 minutes, then squeeze lemon juice into the skillet and add the rest of the olive oil.
5. Cook 5 to 10 minutes more, or until sauce is slightly thick.
