Baked cod recipe details
Ingredients
4 | cod steaks |
600 ml | milk |
60 g | butter |
100 g | cooked prawns |
1 tbsp | corn flour |
1 tbsp | fresh parsley, chopped |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 190°C. Grease an ovenproof dish and put the cod steaks inside. Pour over some milk and dot with butter.Cover the dish with tin foil and bake for about 25 minutes. Remove the fish from the baking dish and keep warm.
Mix together the 1 tablespoon corn flour with a little bit of milk, just enough to make a paste.
Put the remaining milk into a pan and bring it up to the boil. Take it off the heat and stir in the corn flour paste.
Return to the heat and allow the sauce to thicken, stirring all the time for about 1 minute.
Taste and adjust the seasoning.
Add the prawns and parsley and allow to cook a further minute.
Serve the fish with the sauce.
